The Scene Bar

Tucked away at Rue du Marché aux Poulets 32, in the heart of Brussels, Scène Bar merges theatrical design with the intimacy of a modern speakeasy. The bar, designed by Saar Zafrir, introduces an atmosphere where lighting, material, and rhythm perform in harmony. Entering feels like stepping backstage: a moment of quiet transformation from the city’s bustle into a curated world of velvet, brass, and dim amber light.

Inside, the palette is immersive: dark woods, textured walls, low banquettes, and mirrored surfaces create a cinematic mood that shifts from calm to pulse as the night unfolds. The bar’s identity blends gastronomy and mixology -  serving contemporary cocktails and fusion plates that mirror Brussels’ cosmopolitan taste. Every corner is sculpted for interaction, from intimate booths to the statement bar counter that anchors the space. 

Scène is more than a venue,  it’s a study in ambience. Music programming and design coalesce into a single sensory arc, turning evenings into performances where guests are both audience and participant. Zafrir’s direction ensures every detail, from light intensity to spatial flow, reinforces the bar’s purpose: an experience of sophistication, mystery, and connection at the city’s core.
